Inventory of Household Goods and Personal Effects

 

This series of paintings was started in 2014 after the passing of my parents. The household goods and personal effects that I’ve depicted are the artifacts of my childhood, which I inherited upon my father’s passing. The idea of the connection between objects and lives lived is fascinating to me. There is a kind of immortality of remembrance in their wear and presence, a sense of the owner or user seems to linger.
