This series of paintings was started in 2014 after the passing of my parents. The household goods and personal effects I’ve depicted are the artifacts of my childhood, which I inherited upon my father’s passing. The idea of the connection between objects and lives is fascinating to me. There is a kind of immortality of remembrance in their wear and presence, a sense that the owner or user seems to linger.
